Gray Matter

The 2001 is even more remarkable, reflecting the intensity of the vintage. There's a lot of honey to the fruit of this wine and it's richer and sweeter than the 1999. The price remains most attractive. When I mentioned how we liked this little bargain, Montégut rolled his eyes saying "You know, a vintage such as 2001 does not come along very often." We'll drink to that!
